From the architects: A closed enclosure is designed to protect the stereometric volume. The development of the building is horizontal, the mass is permeable and faces outside but always maintaining its formal clarity. Relations with the built-up transform into a recognizable but traditional architecture in its forms of universal value such as the superimposition of a pitched roof on a base. At the same time the training process gives us a contemporary architecture in its finishes and in the livability of the spaces. Through the proposed intervention, “comfort”, understood as the correspondence of services to needs, is transformed into a stimulating invitation to knowledge, development and socialization.
In relation to constraints due to the design and the size of the lot, the perimeter of the municipal area is reduced, defining a strong and clear volume. Passive adaptation to the shape of the lot hides a distribution of spaces specifically designed to conform to the rigid surfaces available. The external compactness of the factory is interrupted by the vacuum of the entrance and mitigated by a pitched roof of various inclinations. The movement imposed by the roof gives the school a familiar and recognizable appearance.
