Project's description: Yangcheng Lake is known for producing Chinese mitten crab, one of the rare delicacies of the world. The structure serves as a tourist center and a depot for the boats sailing the lake. Two triangled roofs open up towards the lake, shaping the number eight in the Chinese letter that means growing prosperity. Underneath, bright interior and an outdoor terrace spread. The roof surface is overlapped with thin and long aluminum angles, which is an expression of the soft texture in old thatched roof, realized by a modern material. The lake becomes particularly busy in fall, the high season of the crab.
