From the architect: Designed with the aim of enhancing the student living experience, and serving as an important emblem for Bryan–College Station’s forward-looking urban growth, Rhode Partners’ College Station Apartments breaks ground today at 315 College Main. At 19-stories, the 300,000sf mixed-use building is minutes from Texas A&M University’s campus and will be the tallest in Bryan–College Station once complete in fall 2023.

Bringing nearly 300 new residential units to the neighborhoods of Northgate and Downtown Bryan, the project features thoughtful details and amenities that rethink traditional student housing design, both inside and out. At level seven, an amenities deck with an open courtyard and pool frames southern views of Texas A&M. Additional amenities include a roof deck, study and conference rooms, a fitness center, club room, and the new University Student Lutheran Center. With expressive rounded corners on the building’s north, west, and east sides, a formal language of curves creates a flowing and undulating façade.

Of the project, Director Robert Tait says, “I am honored that today’s groundbreaking marks the third for Rhode Partners this year, and the eleventh student housing project since our founding. We are grateful to be partnering with our client Parallel, community stakeholders, and all of the project’s collaborators to bring inspired design and elevated living to the students and local citizens who will inhabit the building and make use of its amenities.”
