From the architect: This building has become the new, the third object of the updated design in the confectionery network Bize. Pastry shops of this network are famous throughout Odessa for both the quality of their pastries and their chocolate products.
Janna Kiseleva, founder and CEO says "It was chocolate that inspired our studio to create a building of this shape. Its broken edges repeat the edges of a solid, monolithic piece of chocolate chopped with a knife. The black facade is made of modern exterior material. To illuminate the facade, like pores in chocolate, holes were made that significantly change the appearance of the building at night. This allows you to draw attention to the building day and night."
On the first floor of the building there is a confectionery with gorgeous croissants, cakes and handmade chocolate. On the second floor it is planned to place a museum of modern confectionery art, which will become an additional point of attraction for Odessa residents and for numerous guests of Odessa.
Janna Kiseleva: "In contrast to the exterior, there are white bionic elements in the interior, resembling white nougat and brass details, giving a reference to golden foil (classic chocolate packaging), jewelery and grace".
Lamps, tables, sofas and storage systems developed by JK Lab Architects. Chairs Moroso Diesel are also used in interior.
The building is located in the coastal area on a hill, which gives a beautiful view of the sea. The view from the terrace on the roof of the building is especially good, where visitors can enjoy the fresh air and the sea view during the warm season. And in cold and bad weather it will be warm to sit comfortably at tables in the first and second floors in front of panoramic windows and admire the sea.
