From the architect: The house is conceived as an introspective piece of contemporary architecture, organized around the experience of movement and the construction of spatial sequences that gradually reveal the materiality and atmosphere of each space.

Rather than pursuing immediate impact or formal protagonism, the project seeks to create a slow and sensory experience, where inhabitation unfolds through a succession of courtyards, voids, material transitions, and intermediate spaces.

Its architectural language is deeply influenced by contemporary Latin American architecture, particularly the work of Paulo Mendes da Rocha. Drawing from Paulista Brutalism, the project embraces material honesty and explores the relationships between mass and void, light and shadow. The horizontal composition of the house, together with the presence of exposed concrete planes, gabion walls, and perforated masonry screens, reinforces this architectural approach.

The exterior material palette was conceived in its most essential state, exposing the raw and natural qualities of the materials. This tectonic expression is softened indoors through a warmer atmosphere shaped by filtered natural light, the incorporation of wood, light-toned textiles, and furniture defined by restrained proportions and simple lines.

With an approximate area of 405 m² arranged on a single level, the program responds to the users’ needs through a clear and functional organization. The horizontal layout enhances spatial continuity and establishes a constant relationship with the courtyards and the surrounding landscape, consolidating an architecture in which materiality, light, and movement shape the experience of dwelling.
