Located in South West London. The Pier House is a handsome period house that benefited from a wide plan maximised from a single storey side return and rear extension.

Location: London, UK

Project's description: The serviced areas of the house such as the utility and WC were located centrally in the darkest part of the plan, creating active spaces and long vistas that circulated around this core. Each vista ends with a framed view, ensuring the relationship between the internal spaces are as strong as the relationship with the exterior.
To maximise lighting levels internally, full height glazing was introduced to ensure a strong connection between the internal and external spaces. The original wide staircase was the key consideration in ensuring all living spaces had generous space, whilst being enjoyed in their own right.
