From the architect: The main objective of the apartment's renovation was to create a space that is both functional and welcoming, yet simple and flooded with natural light. With an open layout and a selection of elegant materials, the apartment strives to be the balance between comfort and sophistication, where every detail is discreet yet carefully considered.
Designed to meet the needs of the architect and his family, the apartment's design is a blend of flexibility and organization. The living room merges with the kitchen through a sliding panel that allows the spaces to be used simultaneously. Corners are occupied with shelves, niches, and cabinets to create storage throughout the home without imposing on the organization of the space. The furniture includes custom-designed pieces, providing an opportunity to extend the design of the space to a smaller scale.
Renovating one's own apartment is an opportunity for reflection on the work done to date. It is the sum of various solutions experimented with over the existence of the studio, culminating in a space that is simple, yet careful and quiet.
Thus, the home is not just an example of residential renovation but also a manifestation of the ideas and beliefs that we uphold in the studio.
